The Pirate Youth Football League has been one of the most popular youth sports organizations in the Santa Ynez Valley since the 1970's.  The league has developed as the stepping stone for young athletes to develop their skills prior to entering high school.  For years, the Pirate Youth Football League & Cheer was one of seven leagues that made up the Tri-Valley Youth Football Conference (TVYFC).  On July 25, 2016, the Tri-Valley Youth Football Conference was dissolved, and Pirate YFL is now part of the Central Coast Youth Football League (CCYFL).
